Family claims negligence of Premium Parking Service caused woman to fall

NEW ORLEANS – A family is seeking damages over claims negligent conditions at a parking garage caused a woman serious injuries.

Byron Videau, Myron Videau, Kyreion Videau, Millicent Videau and Elizabeth Videau, as the tutor and undertutor of a minor child, on behalf of Mia Videau filed a suit against Premium Parking Service LLC and ABC Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 9.

According to the claim, Mia Videau parked her vehicle on Oct. 31 at the defendant's North Rampart Street parking garage when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall through a railing that was dangerous, falling onto concrete that was below. The fall resulted in life-altering damages to Mia Videau, the suit states, and she was still on life support as of the filing of this suit.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiffs are represented by Suzette Bagneris and Emile A. Bagneris II of the Bagneris Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
