NEW ORLEANS – An East Baton Rouge Parish man alleges he was not paid for a musical composition.
Desmond Mapp, previously known as Dez Dynamic, filed a suit against Cash Money Entertainment LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 10.
According to the claim, the plaintiff produced a musical composition in 2011 that he agreed to convey to Tyga Music for an advance of $10,000 plus royalties. He alleges he was never paid.
The defendant is accused of unjust enrichment.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Namisha D. Patel, Roy H. Maughan Jr. and Joshua D. Roy of the Maughan Law Firm in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
