Visitor claims Chateau Living Center of Kenner LLC didn't warn of floor's conditions

GRETNA – A woman claims that she slipped and fell at an assisted living center.

Sarah Pettavino filed a suit against Chateau Living Center of Kenner LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 21.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 716 Village Road in Kenner when the incident occurred on Sept. 30. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on the floor, causing physical injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to ensure that the floors were in a safe condition for visitors and for failing to warn visitors of the potential for injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Jodi J. Aamodt of Jacobs Manuel Kain and Aamodt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
