Capital One claims individual owes more than $4,000 on credit card

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish resident is alleged to owe more than $4,000 on a credit card.

Capital One Bank filed a suit against Kimberly Cabrera in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 16.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant that the defendant used to accumulate more than $4,000 in charges. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay off the balance.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $4,017.94 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
