Bank alleges promissory note customer owes more than $59,000

GRETNA – A bank is seeking damages on an overdue promissory note.

Fidelity Bank filed a suit Nov. 29 against Elizabeth Marie Darby Forys in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to make good on a promissory note.

According to the claim, Fidelity is the holder of a promissory note issued by Forys. The suit states the plaintiff has not received payment on the note, which is a violation of the agreement, and that Forys owes $59,207.87, plus late payment charges.

Fidelity Bank seeks the money owed, attorney fees and costs of court. It is represented by attorneys from Kizer, Hood & Morgan LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
