NEW ORLEANS – A vessel chartering company alleges it has not been paid for the use of its vessels.

United Bulk Carriers International SA filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Transgrain Shipping (Singapore) PTE LTD alleging breach of maritime contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 8 and Aug. 10, defendant chartered plaintiff's bulk carriers. As a result of defendant's breach of contract, the total balance of $146,272.97 remains due and owing. It is represented by Andrew S. de Klerk, T. Patrick O’Leary and Brandon K. Thibodeaux of Frilot LLC in New Orleans.
