Carriere-Stumm LLC seeks alleged damages in relation to medical center project

NEW ORLEANS – A company alleges it was damaged by changes to a construction project.

Carriere-Stumm LLC filed a suit against Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. and Blitch Knevel/NBBJ, a joint venture in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Dec. 5.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a subcontractor for the construction of the University Medical Center in New Orleans. It alleges that the project had significant changes that caused damage to the plaintiff by hindering its work.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Lloyd N. Shields, Elizabeth L. Gordon, Jessica R. Derenbecker, Jessica A. Roberts of Shields Mott in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
