New Orleans man seeks damages for property that sustained fire damage

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans man is seeking damages, alleging property he maintained suffered fire damage.

Paul Sylvester Jr. filed a suit Dec. 19 against Crystal Sanders in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging she owes him money.

According to the claim, Sylvester maintained the property at 1939 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans despite it belonging to Sanders. The suit states the property caught fire and the plaintiff continued to maintain it.

Sylvester seeks damages for the investment in the property he spent maintaining it.

Sylvester seeks appropriate damages and court costs. He is represented by attorney N. Sundlata Haley.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-12347.
