AT&T blames construction firm for property damage

NEW ORLEANS – AT&T is suing a construction company, alleging negligent damaging of property.

Bellsouth Telecommunications LLC. doing business as AT&T Louisiana, filed a suit Dec. 16 against Meche Construction LLC and S&N Communications Inc in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, AT&T Louisiana discovered damages to its underground cable near 841 N. Rampart St., New Orleans, on Jan. 21, that was caused due to the negligence of the defendant.

AT&T Louisiana seeks compensatory damages and court costs. It is represented by attorneys Michael B. Alker and Charles E. Sutton Jr. 

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV. 

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-12286.
