Semi crash 05

NEW ORLEANS – A motorist claims she was injured when she was rear-ended by a truck on Citrus Boulevard.

Mary L. Latulas filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Nick C. Edwards, Con-Way Truckload Inc. and Safeco Insurance Co. of Oregon alleging negligence.

She alleges the accident caused her to suffer damages and injuries resulting physical and mental pain, lost wages and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Edwards, Con-Way Truckload Inc. and Safeco Insurance Co. of Oregon responsible because defendant Edwards allegedly failed to exercise due care under the circumstances and carelessly drove the vehicle while distracted.
