Capital One alleges credit card customer owes more than $1,600

GRETNA – Capital One Bank is suing a credit card customer, seeking more than $1,600 in an open account.

Capital One Bank (USA) NA filed a lawsuit Dec. 21 against Erico R. Rivera in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging an open credit card account.

According to the claim, Capital One issued a credit card to Rivera who used the card to make $1,603.91 in purchases and charges, without paying off the balance of the card.

Capital One Bank seeks the $1,603.91 in damages, plus any interest accrued, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Remy F. Symons of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
