Women allege PF3 Logistics driver caused injuries in collision

Semi crash 07

NEW ORLEANS – Two St. Tammany Parish residents claim they were injured when their vehicle was rear-ended by a semi.

Deborah Frank and Shirley Carroll filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against PF3 Logistics LLC, Brierfield Insurance Co. and Fred Allen Dennis alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on March 15, 2016, Frank was operating a motor vehicle with Carroll was a passenger traveling east on US 190-B in Slidell and was stopped at a red light. The suit states Dennis, who was driving a tractor-trailer owned by defendant PF3, rear-ended plaintiffs' vehicle and the impact caused plaintiffs to be thrown about in the car and sustain severe injuries. The plaintiffs holds PF3 Logistics LLC, Brierfield Insurance Co. and Dennis responsible because Dennis allegedly failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle, failed to timely stop and failed to keep careful lookout and that PF3 failed to properly train its drivers. The suit states Brierfield issued an insurance policy to PF3.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants, jointly, severally and solidarily for sums reasonable under the premises, plus interest and costs for this suit. They are represented by Michael Hingle, Michael Hingle III and Bryan Pfleeger of Michael Hingle & Associates LLC in Slidell.
