Customer blames salon for scalp damage

GRETNA -- A customer is suing a hair salon, alleging the defendant is responsible for her permanent hair loss.

Bridgette Parker filed a lawsuit Jan. 10 against H20 Hair Inc, doing business as H20 Salon and Spa, Colony Insurance Company and Christina Nelson, in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, Parker was at H20 Salon in Metairie on Aug. 4, 2016, for hair coloring when she suffered hair loss due to an improper treatment by the defendant.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to properly operate the business, failing to supervise employees, failing to follow safety procedures and failing to see recognize dangers in the treatment of the plaintiff.

Parker seeks damages, including medical expenses, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorneys Amy C. Fontenot and Kurl Offner of Alvendia, Kelly & Demarest in New Orleans and by Dan Robin of Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
