Mortgage association alleges customer owes more than $60,000

GRETNA – A mortgage association is suing a customer, alleging she owes more than $60,000.

Federal National Mortgage Association filed a suit Jan. 12 against Virgen M. Arias, divorced wife of Jorge Gonzalez, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging failingto pay sums due.

According to the claim, Federal National the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note for the principal sum of $78,650, and Arias is still indebted to the plaintiff for $61,338.99 plus interest.

Federal National Mortgage seeks all money due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Fred J. Daigle of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768102.
