NEW ORLEANS – A couple is suing a hospital, alleging the husband was assaulted in the hospital.
Eugene Ghoram, husband of/and Naomi Ghoram, filed a lawsuit Jan. 18 against Community Care LLC, doing business as Community Care Hospital LLC, et. al in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging assault and battery and negligence.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 20-21, 2016, Eugene Ghoram, was being treated at Community Care. The suit states some of the hospital staff physically assaulted Ghoram, causing him physical damages.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to grant Ghoram an appropriate standard of care, failing to supervise employees and train them properly, and assault and battery.
The Ghorams seek all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. They are represented by attorney Rodney A. Seydel Jr. of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
