CitiBank assignee alleges credit card customer owes more than $12,000

NEW ORLEANS – A CitiBank assignee is suing a credit card customer, alleging he owes more than $12,000.

Calvary SPV LLC, as assignee of CitiBank NA, filed a lawsuit Jan. 5 against Nicholas Nevares in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, Calvary SPV issued a credit card to Nevares, which the defendant then used to make purchases and charges. The suit states Nevares has accumulated $12,278.71 in charges and has failed to make any payments on the balance.

Calvary SPV seeks the money due, all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Alexander D. Bukaty of Edward F. Bukaty III, a Professional Law Corporation in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
