Bartender claims employer bit him on neck

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that he was sexually assaulted and bitten on the neck by his employer.

Damon Marbut filed a lawsuit Jan. 20 against James Garner, Witch's Golden Lantern LLC and XYZ Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was allegedly abused and physically molested by his employer, Garner, on a number of occasions, when the defendant licked, bit and kissed the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of negligence and intentional sexual abuse through his actions and damages through the treatment of the plaintiff, who was allegedly injured both physically and mentally in the process.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Theresa Beckler of Drake & Beckler LLC in Ponchatoula.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney Cates IV.
