Couple accuses band of overcharge

Law money 08

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish couple is suing a band, alleging the defendants overcharged them.

Dr. David C. Treen Jr. and Michelle Treen filed a suit Feb. 1 against Mojeaux Entertainment LLC and Kellie S. Autin in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, the defendants agreed to perform at the plaintiffs' daughter's wedding Oct. 8, 2016. The suit states Mojeaux Entertainment agreed to offer a discount if the contract was paid in full, making the amount due $6,800. The lawsuit states the defendants then charged $23,250 to the plaintiffs' credit card instead of the proper amount.

The plaintiffs allege they are still owed $8,800.

The Treens seek all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. They are represented by attorney Terrence J. Lestelle of Lestelle & Lestelle APLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768658.
