Discover Bank alleges credit card customer owes nearly $8,000

GRETNA – Discover Bank is suing a credit card customer, alleging she owes nearly $8,000.

Discover Bank filed a suit Feb. 16 against Melissa W. Martin in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the claim, Discover Bank issued a credit card to Martin that was used for charges of $7,875.04. The suit says she has failed to pay off the balance.

Discover Bank seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769116.
