Rockin 'D' Marine Services alleges Sea Endeavor LLC owes more than $900,000

NEW ORLEANS – A Lafourche Parish-based company alleges a promissory note was not paid in full.

Rockin “D” Marine Services LLC filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the M/V Sea Endeavor and Sea Endeavor LLC alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 15, 2014, defendants executed a promissory note in the sum of $1.1 million payable to the order of plaintiff. In order to secure payment, defendants allegedly duly executed and delivered to plaintiff a first Preferred Ship Mortgage on the vessel, M/V Sea Endeavor. Since April 23, 2015, the suit states that the balance of $982,347.11 remains due and unpaid.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order for the seizure of M/V Sea Endeavor, her engines, tackle and appurtenances; judgment be issued against defendant in the amount of $982,347.11, plus interest; costs and attorneys’ fees; and all other relief as it may be entitled.
