Lawsuit filed over unpaid line of credit

NEW ORLEANS – A company is being sued for failing to pay off a line of credit.

Jerilyn Lea Chenevert, formerly known as Jerilyn Lea Ackel and J. Chenevert Properties LLC, filed a lawsuit Feb. 16 against George Joseph Assets LLC, Adam Ackel, George Ackel III, Alano Tallo and Alexander Ackel in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a line of credit to the defendants for the sum of $581,070. The plaintiffs are seeking payment of the sum from the defendants.

The defendant is accused of failing to meet their obligations to pay off the line of credit.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John Venezia of Venezia & Associates APLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany Chase.
