Mortgage company alleges promissory note customer owes nearly $80,000

GRETNA – A mortgage company is suing promissory note customers, alleging they owe nearly $80,000.

Nationstar Mortgage LLC filed a suit Feb. 17 against Roy Anthony Bergeron Sr. and Lillian Denny Bergeron, also known as Lena Ann Anthony Bergeron, in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the claim, Nationstar is the holder of a promissory note for the original balance of $125,152. The suit states the Bergerons have failed to pay off the remaining balance of $79,263.60, plus interest.

Nationstar Mortgage seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Logan Massey of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darrensburg.
