Financial firm files suit over customer's Visa debt

GRETNA – A funding company is seeking damages for an overdue Visa debt. 

Midland Funding LLC filed a suit Feb. 17 against Christannie Hawkins, a Harvey resident, in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the defendant became indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $1,088.23. The defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff back.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gregory Eaton, J. Marron Monsour and Michael Lancaster of Eaton Group Attorneys LLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.
