Customer blames Walgreens for fall

NEW ORLEANS – A customer is suing Walgreens, alleging its negligence caused him to fall at one of the defendant's New Orleans stores.

Delano Wilson of Orleans Parish filed a lawsuit Feb. 9 against Walgreen Louisiana Co., Inc., also known as Walgreens Family of Companies, doing business as Walgreens Store No. 5040, Walgreens Inc. and Walgreen's Manager in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Wilson was at the Walgreens store, 1801 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, when he was caused to slip and fall on a liquid substance on the ground at the defendant's premises Feb. 23, 2016.

Walgreens is accused of negligently failing to warn of the danger, creating a hazardous condition and failing to properly train employees.

Wilson seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief.  He is represented by attorney Jeremy S. Epstein of Jeremy Epstein Law LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
