Bank alleges promissory note customer owes nearly $190,000

GRETNA – A bank is suing a promissory note customer, alleging an unpaid balance of nearly $190,000.

Metairie Bank & Trust filed a suit Feb. 22 against Courtney Lynn Williams Kall as independent executor of the estate of Maryann S. Viguerie, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging failure to pay the plaintiff.

According to the claim, the bank is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $173,000 that was executed by the defendant. The suit states Viguerie, agreed to pay off the balance of the note, but failed to do so and is still indebted for 187,315.84, plus late fees and interest.

Metairie Bank & Trust seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Robert A. Mathis of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769291.
