Peter A. Mayer Advertising Inc. alleged to owe unpaid wages to former employee

Law money 10

NEW ORLEANS – A New York man alleges an Orleans Parish corporation owes him unpaid wages.

Joe Douglas “Jay” Winn II filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Peter A. Mayer Advertising Inc. alleging that the advertising agency violated the Louisiana Wage Payment Statute.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was unlawfully required to forfeit his stock appreciation rights upon resigning from employment with the defendant in January 2016. The plaintiff holds Peter A. Mayer Advertising Inc. responsible because the defendant also allegedly refused to pay wages for which he bargained prior to being hired and earned before his resignation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to recover not only his unpaid wages, but also statutory penalty wages, attorney’s fees, and interest. He is represented by Stacy R. Palowsky of Palowsky Law LLC in Covington.
