Mortgage company alleges promissory note customer owes more than $56,000

GRETNA – A mortgage company is suing a promissory note customer, alleging failure to pay more than $56,000.

JPMC Specialty Mortgage LLC filed a suit March 1 against James Earl Carey in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay off the note in a timely manner.

According to the claim, JPMC Specialty is the holder of a promissory note by Carey. The balance of the promissory note was for $56,480, the suit states, and Carey has failed to pay off the full balance of the note. He is still indebted to the plaintiff for the balance, plus interest, the lawsuit states.

JPMC Specialty Mortgage seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Fred J. Daigle of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
