Bank alleges mortgage customer owes more than $440,000

GRETNA – A bank is suing a mortgage customer, alleging he owes more than $440,000.

South Lafourche Bank & Trust Compny filed a suit March 3 against Chad Guilbeau, also known as Chad A. Guilbeau, also known as Chantece P. Guilbeau, in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the claim, South Lafourche Bank is the holder of a promissory mortgage note for the balance of $446,923.21. The suit states Guilbeau has failed to pay the plaintiff the full sum owed and is still indebted for the balance of $447,218.60, plus interest.

South Lafourche Bank & Trust seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney George J. Ledet Jr. of Cut Off.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
