Woman alleges she was injured in Jefferson Parish collision with federal employee

Car accident 14

NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish motorist alleges she was injured when she was rear-ended by a Federal Bureau of Investigation employee.

Minh Dang filed a complaint on March 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against United States of America alleging that defendant's employee failed to properly operate the vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 14, 2015, she was stopped eastbound on West Napoleon Avenue when suddenly and without warning, she was rear-ended by defendant's employee Jessica Zuppardo. The suit states the impact resulted in a chain collision and caused plaintiff to sustain severe, painful, and disabling physical and mental injuries. The plaintiff holds United States of America responsible because defendant's employee allegedly traveled at a speed not suitable for the traffic condition and failed to maintain a proper lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages as are reasonable in the premises, costs of these proceedings and for such other legal and equitable relief. She is represented by David D. Bravo of Bravo Law Firm in New Orleans and Christopher B. Edwards of Christopher B. Edwards in Gretna.
