NEW ORLEANS — A couple is seeking damages from Golden Leaf Energy Inc. for unpaid rent.
Corie Herberger and Al Rita Herberger filed a lawsuit April 5 against Golden Leaf Energy and Troy A. Clark in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due for rent and late fees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff allowed the defendants to lease the building located at 4343 Carrere Court, New Orleans. The suit states that the defendants have failed to pay the plaintiff the agreed upon rent and are indebted over $6,000.
The defendant is accused of failing to pay the rent as agreed upon.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Willard O. Lape III in Covington.
The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
