University of New Orleans claims Orleans Parish man failed to repay promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages on an unpaid promissory note.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 3 against Patrick J. Pearson in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a promissory note to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay back the $2,000 owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
