University of New Orleans claims Orleans Parish resident failed to repay promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 24 against Gabrielle Ansardi of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note with the defendant took out for $2,000. The defendant has allegedly failed to pay off the balance.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
