Southeastern Louisiana claims Jefferson Parish resident owes for 2011 semester

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for an open account.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a suit May 9 against Shelbi Winstead of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued goods and/or services to the defendant during the fall 2011 semester but was never paid. The plaintiff is seeking $840.75 in unpaid balance.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ramnarine, assistant attorney general.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771927.
