BATON ROUGE – An East Baton Rouge Parish homeowner alleges her insurer failed to adjust her claims property.
Cynthia Jarrell filed a complaint on May 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana against Wright National Flood Insurance Co. alleging that the licensed insurer failed to comply with the National Flood Insurance Act provisions.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 13, 2016, plaintiff's home was damaged by a catastrophic flood. She states she timely notified her insurer of the loss and submitted proof for the same. The plaintiff holds Wright National Flood Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant's adjuster allegedly undervalued the damages to plaintiff’s dwelling and refused to honor the disputed amount of property damage.
The plaintiff seeks damages that are reasonable in the premises, plus legal interest and costs of these proceedings. She is represented by Adam A. Bosso of Morris Bart LLC in New Orleans.
