Man alleges Pizza Hut driver backed into car, resulting in injuries

GRETNA – A man claims a Pizza Hut driver backed into his car.

Leon James Jr. filed a suit June 22 against Brandon Santa Maria, Financial Indemnity Co. and Pizza Hut of America LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a passenger in a car June 21, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was off the clock from work and the defendant backed into the car, resulting in injuries to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to keep an eye out, failing to see the vehicle and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael D. Riley in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
