Jefferson Parish man alleges two people attacked him after soccer game, causing injuries

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man claims he was attacked after a soccer game.

Kahlil Takroori filed a suit June 22 against Walfeed Harb and Azeez Harb in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging battery and assault.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at Riverside Indoor Soccer at 6124 Jefferson Highway in Harahan on July 11, 2016, when the incident took place. The suit states that the plaintiff was talking to his teammates when the defendants came up behind him and struck him in the face. After he fell to the ground, the suit states the defendants continued to kick him in the head and body, resulting in a concussion, cervical strain, thoracic sprain and injuries.

The defendants are accused of battery and assault without cause.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John W. Redmann of the Law Office of John W. Redmann LLC in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
