GRETNA – A building materials company is seeking more than $23,000 allegedly owed under a building materials and lumber supply contract.
Dufrene Building Materials Inc. filed a lawsuit June 21 against Airport Motel LLC, S&R Development Inc. of Mississippi and Hiren Patel in the 24th Judicial District Court.
According to the petition, the defendants failed to pay the plaintiff for goods delivered under the contract, resulting in a balance due of $23,404.14 plus interest.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Sean Dawson of Stephenson, Chavarri & Lambert LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
