Woman seeks damages following alleged fall at Walmart

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages for an incident which took place at a Walmart.

Marie Claude Kellerman filed a lawsuit June 18 against Walmart Louisiana LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place on Dec. 11, 2017 when the plaintiff was at the Walmart at 1901 Tchoupitoulas St. in New Orleans. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a substance on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Megan Kiefer of Kiefer & Kiefer in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-5984.
