Patient claims Oschner Clinic Foundation improperly treated his injury

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages, alleging that his injured finger was not treated properly at the Oschner Clinic Foundation.

Abraham Elhiany filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Dr. Leslie Sesco-Wise and Oschner Clinic Foundation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 4, 2013, when the plaintiff was admitted to the defendant's facilities. The suit states the plaintiff had injured his finger and received treatment for it, but that the defendant failed to properly bandage the plaintiff's finger, leading to more damages.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to take the appropriate action to prevent injury.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Philip Beiancio in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 790972.
