GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after he alleges he was struck by a car driven by a health care worker.
Eric Smith filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Trakeisha Smith, Pediatra Healthcare LLC and Safety National Casualty Corp.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 9, 2018 when the plaintiff was driving on Clearview Parkway. The suit states the defendant failed to drive responsibly and struck the plaintiff's vehicle on the side, having failed to stop in an appropriate amound of time.
The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to prevent injury from taking place.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael Brandner Jr. of Mike Brandner Injury Attorneys in Metairie.
