American Express seeks more than $22,000 on unpaid account

GRETNA – American Express has filed a complaint against a woman who has allegedly failed to pay off an open account for over $22,000.

American Express National Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 8 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Lillian Guilbault.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $22,342 plus interest. The defendant has allegedly failed to pay off the balance owed despite amicable demand.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 791047.
