Driver claims she was struck by a vehicle belonging to Nola Hydraulics

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she alleges she was struck by a commercial driver.

Mercedes Espana filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Jared Leglue, Nola Hydraulics Inc., and Technology Insurance Company. Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for negligence and reckless driving for an incident that took place on May 29, 2018, when the plaintiff was driving her 2009 Toyota Camry on Jefferson Highway. She claims she was struck by a driver who was working for Nola Hydraulics. The plaintiff says she was caused injury and damages to her vehicle due to the alleged negligence of the defendant.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ivan Orihuilla of Riguer Silva LLC in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
