Motorist files lawsuit claiming spinal injuries from crash

GRETNA – A man alleges that he was injured in a car accident due to the negligence of another driver.

Long Jim Vuong Hoang filed a complaint against Jasmine Parent, John Doe and GoAuto LLC on Jan. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 3, 2017, when the plaintiff was allegedly struck violently by a vehicle driven by the defendant on US 90 B West.

The lawsuit states that the plaintiff had to be treated at Ochsner Urgent Care for spinal injuries sustained in the accident. The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to drive with care. The plaintiff, represented by Christy M. Howley of Bowman & Howley in Gretna, is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
