TAYLOR PORTER BROOKS PHILLIPS LLP: Taylor Porter to Host United Way “Connecting for a Cause” Event

Award

Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips LLP issued the following announcement on March 4.

Taylor Porter will host on its River Terrace an event by the Gottlieb Society of Capital Area United Way and the African American Leadership Council - "Connecting for a Cause," Friday, March 15, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

This networking event is designed to promote and increase African American philanthropy in Baton Rouge's 10-Parish Capital Area. This year, the United Way will recognize two individuals who have contributed to outstanding service in the community through the focus pillar of healthy living - specifically in the area of HIV heath and advocacy.

The event is sponsored by Louisiana Healthcare Connections and Methanex. Entertainment will be provided by the Michael Foster Project. Interested guests can RSVP at info@cauw.org

In January 2016, Taylor Porter moved into its new space on the 8th, 9th and 10th floors of the Chase North Tower from the original Chase Building South Tower space. Roof top gardens on the 8th floor river terrace has allowed the firm to host outside events which capture the city’s best views of Capitol and the Mississippi River. The renovation includes sitting areas, wireless capable conference room and a putting green. The outdoor space, which was recently recognized with a Good Growth award by the Baton Rouge Growth Coalition, has been used for several client events, community organization meetings and employee gatherings.
