Shopper claims she was caused to slip and fall in a Budget Saver store

GRETNA – A woman is suing Budget Saver, alleging she was caused to slip and fall in a store.

Karen Lewis filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against SLFM Inc., dba Budget Saver.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Oct. 21, 2018 when the plaintiff was shopping at the Budget Saver at 6488 Westbank Expressway. The plaintiff alleges she was caused to slip and fall on a clear substance that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre Gaudin of Gaudin and Gaudin in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 792544.
