American Express is seeking damages on an open account

NEW ORLEANS – American Express is seeking damages from an Orleans Parish man, alleging he owes more than $88,000 in credit card charges.

American Express Bank FSB filed a lawsuit Dec. 27 against Brian P. David, alleging he continues to hold an open credit card account.

According to the complaint, American Express Bank issued a business gold rewards credit card to David. The suit states David accumulated $88,301.45 in charges on the card and has failed to pay the balance.

American Express Bank seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys Edward F. Bukaty III, Warren W. Wingerter Jr. and  Alexander D. Bukaty of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Regina Bartholomew Woods.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-12509.
