GRETNA – Discover Bank claims it is owed more than $17,000 on an open account.
The bank filed a lawsuit June 11 against Jorge Mejia in the 24th Judicial District Court, claiming that Mejia owes $17,140.26 plus interest.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. It is represented by Jeffrey Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.
