Nunez Community College seeks more than $1,700 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – A community college claims it is owed over $1,700 in sums due.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Nunez Community College filed a lawsuit June 11 against Dannyelle Alexander in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $1,718.12 plus interest, claiming that the defendant has failed to pay the balance due.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 18-5786.
