NEW ORLEANS - After slipping in hydraulic fluid and water and injuring his back, a St. Mary Parish seaman has filed a lawsuit against his employer claiming the company is refusing to provide him with adequate cure benefits for medical treatment.

Smith A Louisiana boat owner is suing the law firm of Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard, claiming negligence after the firm allegedly failed to keep the boat owner from having to pay a $3 million verdict.
