GRETNA – A design firm is being sued for breach of contract for allegedly failing to complete a contract to design a customer’s home.
Jason Adams and Melissa Adams filed suit against Interior Motives Design & Decor Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 28.
The Adamses assert they entered into a contract with Interior Motives Design & Decor Inc. to provide design for a home to be built on a property located at 3908 Edenborn in Metairie. The plaintiffs claim the contract with the defendants was in the amount of $9,563 and was to cover 50 details included in the planning of the home’s exterior, interior, and project management. However, the Adamses allege that after they paid Interior Motives Design & Decor Inc. they were unable to contact them for a nine month period. The plaintiffs claim the defendants failed to compete all of the work they were contracted for and were only able to produce nine of the 50 home details included in the contract.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract, unjust enrichment and violation of the Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for reimbursement and attorney’s fees.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
